Here are details of some of the workshops we have run so far.

How to be subversive – an online MadZines workshop with Dolly Sen.

Held online in March 2021 and co-organised with CCrAMHP and Asylum magazine

Mad Studies at Northumbria University – a MadZines dialogue

Held online in April 2021 with students and staff on the Mad Studies module.

 

 

 

 


Tenderness as a Tool: a MadZines workshop at the Feminist Library

Other workshops and events:

We facilitated an online event with Kathryn Watson in April 2021, at which she introduced My Illustrated Mind and her cards for honest conversations about feelings.  Co-organised with CCrAMHP and Asylum Magazine.

Jill and Tamsin participated in the 24 hour Zine challenge at the Swansea Zine Fest in  May 2021.  You can see the outcome here: Choose your own research adventure

We presented our One Minute Video at the Graphic Medicine Unconvention in September 2021

In October 2021 Jill dropped in on a virtual teaching session on Liz Lefroy’s Creative Practitioner module on the BA in social work at Glyndwr University, to talk with the students about MadZines.

In October 2021 we also tabled at the Lakes International Comic Arts Festival in Kendal.  Read more about that here.
